Please note the following times and dates for Cowal Games Week. Remember everyone in our dancing class, whether competing or not at Cowal will be involved!

Monday 23 August

Dancing classes in hall back to normal times. First Class 4-5 Second Class 5-7 Third Class 6-8.

Tuesday 24 August

Selborne Hotel and Argyll Hotel.  Looking for four dancers for each hotel.

Wednesday 25 August   Private Lessons during the morning from 10 am onwards. This slot is for girls who are dancing at Cowal only due to the rest of the week being so busy!

Kirn Gala Time 7.45 pm.

We are delighted to have been asked once again to perform at the Gala. Please note anyone who has a Highland Dancing outfit can perform and you dont have to be competing at Cowal either! We are doing a Highland slot Fling and Reel. Homecoming Broadswords, girls who are involved in this dance must have black leotard and pair of black tights along with dance pumps. I will provide the mini kilt and ribbon which must be handed back to me after Gala. Hair must be up in a ponytail. Finally new dance dont have a name for it yet!, again girls involved should have a black leotard and black tights. Will decide what dance shoes to wear this week, either jig shoes or pumps. I have skirts for all 8 girls involved.

Thursday 26 August

Scottish National Championships in the park. Please remember you are doing Championship Steps!

Thursday night Live in the Burgh Hall Time 7.15.   Girls who are performing new dance will take part at this event. I am looking for four dancers who would like to do a Highland Slot for me. Please note that due to the lack of room in the Burgh Hall, I have decided to cut back on the number of girls performing. This is from a very much safety point of view.

Saturday 28 August

Pre Premier events start at 11 am. Be there early for registration.

Premier Events, Argyllshire Championship starts at 10 am sharp. Please be there early for registration.

March Past  Time 8pm outside Co-op

This is a chance for everyone in  our class to march down Argyll Street after a very busy week, along with the pipe bands and hopefully some trophies too! Again you may not be competing at Cowal but it doesn’t matter, come along anyway. You must have your kilt and tracksuit jacket on
